Before & After: Hall Bath

This hall bath in Charlotte’s Beverly Woods East neighborhood was updated with a clean, classic style.  The homeowner loves the basketweave floor, glass shower enclosure, and White Carrara marble countertop.  The white subway tile, framed mirror, and polished chrome plumbing fixtures compliment the timeless look.

The existing 4×4 white ceramic tile on a diagonal lay was a popular choice in the 1980s, and the new flooring has a more elegant look.  The homeowner selected a 1×2 Bianco Venatino honed basketweave mosaic framed with a row of 2×4 Nero Marquina brick mosaic and a row of 6×18 Bianco Venatino honed marble.

The shower walls include a 12″ niche and 6″ Bianco Venatino basketweave mosaic detail bordered by a Nero Marquina polished pencil liner.  The existing bathtub was re-glazed to give it a “like new” appearance.

The White Carrara marble countertop  contrasts beautifully with the maple wood vanity with an Onyx finish and matching mirror frame.
