Look Up! New Coffered Ceilings

The ceiling is an often neglected aspect of home décor.  Ancient civilizations used coffers to beautify and reinforce stone ceilings, and not much has changed over the centuries. Coffers continue to add visual interest and structural support to a structure, as well as improve a room’s acoustics.

Recently, Guthmann Construction significantly enhanced the character of a Living Room by incorporating a coffered ceiling into the design.  A stone fireplace wall was added to the room, showcasing a 72″ gas fireplace and wall-mounted television.  A new cased opening was added to the opposite side of the room.
