All of us at Guthmann Construction express heartfelt sympathy to the family of our dear friend Bob Svancarek, who entered eternity on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

Bob was a valued member of our Guthmann team for more than 10 years, prior to retiring from his role of Project Manager in 2014. More importantly, Bob was the cherished Dad to Tammy Purvis who is part of our team and her brother, Scott Svancarek, and sister, Deanna Barbee. Scott and a few of Bob’s grandsons also were part of our team in the past. Even though Bob has been retired for more than eight years, he has remained a mentor and a very special friend to us all. Poppa Bob always lit up the room when entered and was an encouragement to everyone. Although Bob will truly be missed by his family and all of us, Heaven has gained a very special new resident.

Visitation with Bob’s family & friends will be held at 11:00am followed by the service to celebrate Bob’s life at 12:30pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home in Matthews.
